Cultural and Historic Resources
The City Council adopted the Historic Preservation ordinance on August 12, 2014 creating the Millwood Historic Preservation Commission. Click here to view the ordinance.
The Commission meets on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 6:00 p.m. at Millwood City Hall
The primary responsibilities of the Historic Preservation Commission are:
- To identify and actively encourage the conservation of the City’s historic resources by initiating and maintaining a register of historic places and reviewing proposed changes to registered properties;
- To raise community awareness of the City’s history and historic resources; and
- To serve as the City’s primary resource in matters of history, historic planning and preservation.
The Commission serves as the local review board pursuant to RCW Ch. 84.26.
